watched this match from start to end...

although there is a slight improvement... i guess a loss is a loss =/

1st half looked better... we did attack and alves had 2-3 good shots saved by given..

2nd half... bellamy got that early strike.. n we still didnt show much attacking impetus... although alves did had another good chance saved by given..

really.. at least 1 of them should have gone in.. 2 of them being 1 on 1 with the keeper...

have to look to our next few home ...

Charlie Nicholas urged Gareth Southgate to make some last-ditch signings before the transfer window closes after watching Middlesbrough held to a 0-0 draw at home against Blackburn.

The result means Boro haven't won in 12 Premier League games and have now scored just once in their last seven - a run Nicholas believes is in part due to a lack of midfield creativity.

Chris Riggott headed a good chance over for the hosts but in front 24,303 people - the Riverside's lowest league crowd ...

Clean Sheet! Hurray!

No goals scored! What's new. I forgot when was the last time we scored in the league...

At home vs blackburn, not many easier games around in the EPL anymore but still not able to win. Worst, we played like we are the away side.. relying on counter attacks... the best chances of the match all fell to blackburn.. and we had brad jones to thank for saving us the point.

attack wasnt going at all... robinson could have had his lunch at the same time and still ...

Didn't managed to catch the game again cos no streaming on net, so had to settle for the live commentary..

well.. chelsea dominated the match as expect and 2-0.. not to be unexpected..

however.. 2 goals from 2 corners. that is disappointing.. it's a known weakness.. n a weakness that has been exploited all season long..

we need to start winning games.. n the next few home games need to be won!!

It was more or less an even match from what I saw...

However, the attack just wasnt going at all.

1st half, we were slightly on the up but no clear cut chances at all. it looked like going in 0-0 but suddenly a fast break and downing crossed for alves to thump 1 in... 1-0...

2nd half almost same story continued.. not much chances... n the more it dragged on.. the more sunderland had the ball and attacked more..

eventually the breaktru by sunderland... after a cross from the right.. ...

Middlesbrough boss Gareth Southgate has hit out at the transfer window as he braces himself for the transfer request of winger Stewart Downing. It is understood the 24-year-old will ask to leave the Riverside Stadium on Monday following strong interest from Tottenham. However, Downing's decision to submit a transfer request could force their hand with Southgate admitting there is no point hanging on to players who do not want to be there.

Boro value Downing at closer to the £15million mark ...

Didn't get to enjoy the match as much as I wanted to cos I was streaming it on the computer and it was pretty laggy.

But what I can tell is it's definitely a much improved performance compared to the last match against fulham. alas, the result is still 0 pt.

next week's home clash with sunderland is gonna be a big 1! southgate gotta win this, if not even the most patient gibson might have doubts.

what do u peep think

Great match from boro...

1st goal conceded was soft though.. huth completely missed the ball after getting away from adebayor.. easy header..

but the response was good! recently matches against arsenal has been good.. but still i had watched the 7-0 thrashing years back which brought tears to my eyes.. n was hoping that will never happen again..

n it didnt... 2 players closing down clichy i think.. and then a superb cross from tuncay for aliadere to head in!
